Kissable Lips All Year Round

The winter is in full swing and that means that the battle with dry skin is REAL!  In the mist of this battle, we must not forget our lips.  Not only are dry and crack lips not attractive, but can be a serious sign of dehydration or malnutrition.

You are probably saying:  Okay, I understand dehydration, but MALNUTRITION…I eat!!!  Well, you might eat, but you might not have a balanced and healthy diet.  Everything that you do or don’t put in your body has a cause and effect.

Drink eight, 8 ounce glasses of water a day

I know some of you are thinking, exfoliate me lips?!?!  Why do I need to do that?  Just like the rest of your body, your lips collect dead skin cells and those cells needs to be removed.  There is a easy and simple way to remove these cells for kissable lips all year round.

Here is what you will need:

  • Face towel
  • Small cup of sugar

1.  Warm up face towel

2.  Place towel on lips for 10 second

3.  Dip your finger in the sugar and rub it on your lips

4.  Take warm towel and rub the remaining sugar partials off your lip

5.  Wash your face with your preferred face cleanser (Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser)

6.  Moisturize
(Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer and Lip Balm)

After you have completed this process, your lips will be softer than you can ever imagine!  Repeat this process as often as you would like.  It’s simple and can easily be added to your current skin care routine.  Kiehl’s is my brand of choice, but remember no matter the product you use, make sure that you incorporate some form of sun protection. 😀
